Situation

We've been hired by Army Intelligence to assist a MACV-SOG team in clearing a heavily-used PAVN logistical post. The SOG squad, Spike Team Dakota, was sent in earlier this morning to scout the AO and provide more concrete information on the number of targets to destroy. Reports from flyovers in that area also show there may be a frequency jammer in the area, which has been scrambling certain encrypted communications channels. It appears a transmitter tower was erected in the area to boost the signal, and that should be the easiest landmark to spot.

Objectives

The first stage of our objective is to recover a dead drop left by Spike Team Dakota at our LZ marked "Big Dish": this will contain explosive charges we need to destroy enemy equipment, as well as the location of Dakota's rendevous point. After the Spike Team relays more information on the objective, we'll move to our second stage. We'll enter the highlighted area to destroy all enemy assets and recover any intel we can find. From the previous instructions we know Spike Team Dakota received, they should be at Phok Ham Outpost, securing it as a foothold for US Army forces in the area. The information in the dead drop they left for us will let us know if they deviated from that plan.

• The dead drop SOG left for us at LZ Big Dish is supposedly some kind of small crate. That'll contain the satchel charges we need.

• The PAVN troops are skilled in woodcraft and sabotage. Be on the lookout for traps and sniper posts in trees.
