Violence has been rampant in the Kunduz River area, due to current world politics, NATO forces have been largely 'hands off' with the issue. A recent attack on the U.S. Embassy in Kunduz has forced their hand. The local Taliban leader, Noor Khadir, has led the attack and it is believed that several embassy personnel have been taken captive. NATO has supplied Theseus a manpackable drone as well as satalite reconnaissance of the area and has marked the area where NATO believes the hostages are being held. Civlian presence in the AO is heavy, NATO has requested 'restraint' when it comes to explosives in the area. Reconnaissance has also noted a fuse box south of the objective that will turn off all electric lights in the objective.
